Where to start with this stunning hotel? What a place to get married. The grounds are of such beauty no matter what the weather and the hotel itself holds such warmth and elegance, especially with the wonderful staff that run it.
Me and Jonathan got married on the 20th of September 2014. It was a dry day, but due to rain the day before we decided to get married in the gorgeous William Morris suite at 1pm.
The ceremony was beautiful. The staff were so warm and welcoming to all the guests and seated them on arrival awaiting me ( the bride:-) )
On exiting guests were given a glass of bubbly. Photos were taken around the stunning grounds. A magnificent setting for any bride :-)
At 3.30pm the guests were seated for the wedding breakfast. The food was amazing and all 50 adults and 14 children commented on this. The breakfast consisted of a choice of starter being tomato and basil soup or flat mushroom, beef cavern for main and either Irish Baileys cream cheesecake or profiteroles.
At 7pm a few more evening guests arrived and the disco started. At 8:30 pm we had our first dance and shortly after the finger buffet was served. Again the food was amazing and might I say all eaten!
In the evening we retired to what I can only call the best and most amazing room I have ever stayed in! The bridal suite is full of elegance and class and truly a beautiful place to stay. We will definitely be coming back to it.
On that note I would just like to add that the staff were all amazing! All welcoming and going out of their way to do anything to ensure the day was perfect for us, which it truly was! And finally a huge thank you to Vanessa Thomas, what a remarkable hostess! We couldn’t of managed the day without you!
What an amazing venue, amazing food and an amazing and unforgettable day.
Thank you all at Mellington Hall
