The Dining Experience

The dining experience at Mellington Hall Hotel, whether it is lunch or dinner, is a combination of the finest food and drink, savoured in elegantly furnished surroundings with an attentive and knowledgeable staff to make your meal with us unforgettable.

We cater for formal fine dining and informal dining, ranging from afternoon tea and home made cakes in the Offas Dyke Bar to a dinner cooked to perfection and served in one of our 4 distinctive dining rooms: the Cwm Dining Room, the Mahogany Panelled Restaurant, the William Morris Room, and the intimate Shropshire Lounge.

Local ingredients and suppliers are used wherever possible and many of our ingredients are traceable to source so the ingredients we use are fresh and of the highest quality.

Our meat is sourced from one of our local butchers including Owens Family Butchers (Welshpool)  and Alan Davis (Berriew, Welshpool) with award winning ham and breakfast sausages sourced from Wenlock Edge Farm, and the majority of our vegetables sourced from Offa’s Dyke Farm.

Mellington Hall Hotel’s success as a wedding and conference venue in Wales means that we are experts at catering for private parties, whether it is a sit down fine dining meal or a buffet. Private dining is the perfect way to create an intimate atmosphere at any gathering.
